Richard Palethorpe Culley was a driven man who would become an extraordinary entrepreneur. One year after the Cardiff Coal Exchange opened in1886, he was running his Exchange Restaurant and later would build the Barry Dock Hotel in Dock View Road, Barry. Many other hotels would follow all over the Country.
