Highmead, Llanwenog
Description
Highmead is a large 2 to 3 storey country mansion with a symmetrical 4 gable front and central balcony. The roofs are of slate and the windows are a mixture of both 2-paned sashes and casements, with the extreme ends of the building having bay windows.
The building had an organ hall with twin hexagonal towers topped by conical hexagonal slate roofs. It was previously in use as a residential home and more recently as the Highmead Foundation, a European college for Islamic studies.
