The official opening of the community centre, Community House.
Description
Revd. Douglas Alexander, warden of Community House Glasgow, came to open the building. This was on Saturday, May 10th 1969. Here he is seen with Revd. Cyril Summers and the church elders. This was to be a different kind of church, one to serve the 10,000 people of all ages who live in the area. Notice there is not a woman in sight.
