Modern handcuffs, late 20th century
Description
These handcuffs were introduced in the late 1980s, to replace the aluminium quick cuff. Unlike the quick cuff, this pair is reinforced with a bridge of steel covered by plastic allowing the police officer to exert greater control over an arrested suspect.
