Description
In this letter, Charles Newman, owner of the Gwendraeth Ironworks, asks Richard Janion Nevill JP, Llanelli magistrate, for military protection from an attack expected on the Gwendraeth works that night.
Transcription:
'My dear Sir,
I have great reason to expect an attack upon our works this night, may I beg of you to send the Dragoons here on their round this night, they will be of great use to the Constables on the works who feel very anxious for ...'
