Description

Charles de Gaulle was an eminent Celtic scholar and the uncle of the Charles de Gaulle who became President of France. Charles de Gaulle supported the idea of establishing a Welsh settlement in Patagonia, and on the reverse of this photograph is a dedication to the Rev. Michael D. Jones, one of the leaders of the Patagonian movement.
