Description

Humphrey Jones writes to his parents on 29 July 1854 from London. He is pleased to inform them that he has succeeded in finding work as a chemist and druggist at Hackney. He will be taken on for a month's trial without pay. His new employer, Mr Clarke, has still not received any references from William Higgins, Humphrey's former employer in Chester.
