Mae'r darn hwn yn gyfraniad gan wirfoddolwyr Gwasanaeth Archifo Conwy ar y prosiect "Coffau Rhyfel Anghofiedig y Llongau Tanfor 1914-1918" ac yn disgrifio cyd-destun ehangach y digwyddiad ym 1915 pan ddihangodd dri o swyddogion yr Almaen o wersyll carcharorion rhyfel ac roedd ymgais i'w hachub gyda llong danfor U-boat oddi ar y Gogarth, Llandudno. This piece is a contribution by Conwy Archive Service volunteers on the "Commemorating the Forgotten U Boat War 1914-1918" project and describes the wider context of the incident in 1915 where three German officers escaped from a prisoner of war camp and there was an attempted rescue of them by U-boat off the Great Orme, Llandudno.
