This group photograph was taken on board the BELFORD while she was anchored in San Francisco, 1916. The photograph shows from left to right: Mr and Mrs Hughes, Glyn Hughes (with the BELFORD's telescope), Captain William Davies, Tudur Hughes (sitting on the lifesaver), Mrs Phillips and Gwen Hughes. According to the handwritten note on the back, 'Mr Phillips took this'.

This document was brought to the attention of the U-Boat Project 1914-18 by William Davies's grandsons, John Davies, Denbigh, and David Davies, Mold, who inherited their grandfathers' documents and naval artefacts and kindly allowed us to share it.
