The Men from Porthmadog and District who lost their lives at sea during the First World War.
Description
Undoubtedly there were more as many men born in the district moved away at a young age and their names are on memorials in other communities. Conversely, men born elsewhere married local girls and moved to our communities and made their homes amongst us.
Their names are commemorated on boards all over the country but sadly few have graves. Most are commemorated on the Merchant Navy Memorial at Tower Hill London.
