The Priory Church, Brecon, photographed by Robert Crawshay, 1876

Description

The 900 year old church in Brecon was once the centrepiece of a Benedictine priory, and became a parish church at the Dissolution. Long known as the Priory church of St John the Evangelist, or simply the Priory church, it was elevated to cathedral status in 1923.
