Changing Seasons in the Urban Meadow, National Museum Cardiff
Description
National Museum Cardiff's Urban Meadow through the seasons, showing spring, summer, autumn and winter of its first year, 2014. Please scroll through to see all the images. In the winter the Meadow is dormant. There are lots of seeds under the ground, waiting for the warmth of spring. In the spring it gets warmer and the plants begin to grow again. Pollinators wake up from their hibernation and start to explore the Meadow in search of food. In the summer it is warm and sunny and lots of flowers are in bloom. Pollinating insects spend their days flying around the Meadow looking for food. As it gets colder during autumn many of the flowers will die back. The pollinators which live through the winter will find somewhere to hibernate.
