Velociraptor claw
Description
Fossil Velociraptor claw. Meat eating dinosaurs had sharp claws for catching their prey. This claw is from the foot of a small predatory bipedal dinosaur, Velociraptor, made famous in the film 'Jurassic Park'. Velociraptor was actually smaller than shown in the film. The animals in the film were similar in size to Velociraptor's bigger relative, Deinonychus. This item is held at National Museum Cardiff.
