Fossil ammonite called Aegoceras. There were other plants and animals living at the time of the dinosaurs. By looking at their fossils we can build up a picture of what the world was like when the dinosaurs were alive. Ammonites are a group of molluscs that are some of the most common fossils in Jurassic and Cretaceous rocks but are now extinct. They are related to modern octopus, squid and cuttlefish.
