Bones from the New Welsh Dinosaur Dracoraptor hanigani
Description
Fossilised bones of the New Welsh Dinosaur, Dracoraptor hanigani, found near Penarth in 2014. This image shows bones from its hand, including two claws which show that it was a carnivore. It was named Dracoraptor hanigani after the Hanigan brothers who found the fossil skeleton. Dracoraptor means 'dragon robber'. This item is held at National Museum Cardiff. Accession number: NMW2015.5G.
