KapLt Rudolf von Speth-Schülzburg (1884-1917) was an officer on the U 87 under the command of KapLt Rudolf Schneider (1882-1917). He became the submarine's new captain after Schneider's death on 13 October 1917.

Two months later, Speth-Schülzburg along with the whole crew died in the sinking of the U 87 following their attack on an armed convoy in the Irish Sea on 25 December 1917.
