Stackpole Walled Gardens

I have been involved with Pembrokeshire Mencap since 2010, firstly through my work as a funding officer with Pembrokeshire Association for Voluntary Services (PAVS) then as Trustee since 2013. I was keen for Pembrokeshire Mencap to be part of the Mencap Cymru 'Citizen Curator' oral history project as I had co-ordinated oral history projects in the past - including Changing Times in Carew. Apart from recording personal testimony it can draw groups together in a common purpose which is what happened at Stackpole Walled Gardens - participants, staff and volunteers got involved to produce an exhibition and establish a sound archive. The work is ongoing as we now have equipment and skills thanks to the Heritage Lottery funding and guidance from Emily and Paul
