South West Wales Museums
Following a grant from CyMAL in 2010, SWM was formed in order to create a working partnership between four museums, to include:-
Carmarthenshire County Museum
Ceredigion County Museum
Pembrokeshire County Museum
Swansea Museum
The Museums work together to improve their services, looking for funding opportunities, sharing good practice, creating exhibitions and learning resources.
SWM Museums market the four museums’ excellent educational opportunities and extensive loan material for schools, in order to help with delivery of the National Curriculum.
Medwyn’s Museums Website provides a ‘one stop shop’ where safety information, booking forms, teacher’s notes and borrowing outreach collections can be accessed easily from one place in order to facilitate visits to SWM museums.
