Decorated Slates of Dyffryn Ogwen

Here are some examples of unique folk art practiced by the quarrymen of the Ogwen Valley in Gwynedd. These elaborate carvings, some centered with geometric patterns and others depicting everyday objects, musical scores, flowers, birds and plants, were created by highly skilled slate quarry workers in North Wales.
