This is William Anthony Hewlett. He was very active in education & Trade Unions in Briton Ferry. He worked at the Baglan Bay Tim Plate Works.
May Hewlett, his daughter, wrote:"My father, William Anthony Hewlett, was born on the 21st February 1884 at Wharf Cottage, in the tiny village of Giant’s Grave, situated on the Neath River next to Briton Ferry. He was the 7th son of Daniel and Mari. Shortly after his birth, the family moved into Briton Ferry, to a small terraced house at No. 9 Mansel Street."
