The 1792 Blast Furnaces - Neath Abbey Ironworks information panel, 2021
Description
The 1792 Blast Furnaces: Built as a pair with unusual vertical offsets, they are amongst the largest masonry furnaces. Pipes from a Boulton and Watt blowing engine located between them carried air into the furnaces through the tuyere (side) arches. They were in use until the late 1840s.
