Selling power to the world - Neath Abbey Ironworks information panel, 2021
Description
Selling power to the world: The Industrial Revolution demanded power, and in 1800 most came from waterwheels and windmills — only 2,000 steam engines existed. The Ironworks began to supply power, and built a high pressure steam engine in 1806, similar to the 1804 Penydarren locomotive. These were followed by condensing beam engines.
