A 19 inch long, wooded painted / decorated truncheon which originates from the Carmarthenshire area. Painted bottle green in colour with gold coloured scrolled V R (Victoria Regina), and on the reverse, the number 8.

This truncheon would have been one that was issued to a Parish Constable or perhaps to Special Constables who were raised during times of civil unrest such as the Rebecca Riots.
