These Lino cut prints were created by Pauline Evans in a session with Klara Sroka at the Dowlais Visual Art Group for their Valley’s Re-told project. The sculptures outside the Dowlais Engine House were the inspiration for these prints. They were first drawn in pencil, then traced and transferred to Lino before carving out with a Lino tool. Examples were printed with black ink on to white pages, then onto coloured papers for display at the groups Open day celebration in May 2023.
