This is a photograph that was taken by a Royal Regiment of Wales soldier as RRW soldiers were dropped off by a RAF Wessex Helicopter in Northern Ireland in 1987. The RRW was undertaking a tour of duty based at Omagh. The original photograph along with several others is with Mr Dai Dudley, a British Army Veteran whom served in the Royal regiment of Wales and was present as the photograph was taken. Photographs and other documents relating to Dai's service in the RRW and Junior Leader regiment can be viewed on line in the David Dudley collection at West Wales Veterans Archive.
