This is a photograph of the front cover of the ship's journal of HMS Battelaxe, which covers the period of recommissioning at Rosyth, Scotland and subsequent deployment to the Mediterranean fleet, followed by operation in the north Atlantic Ocean during 1959 and 1960. This particular journal is in the possession of John "Bob" Roberts RN retired. John served as Petty Officer TAS on the ship throughout the period when the journal was written and is mentioned several times.
