Luftwaffe Bomber crash site Speke 1942

Description

This is a copy of an original photograph that belongs to Mr John Roberts RN retired. Although not seen on the image here, the text Speke and 1942 are written on the original. John was a teenage school boy during the war, living in Worcestershire. He was given this photograph at some point, as his Uncle and himself had discharges their shotguns at a Luftwaffe bomber that was flying low near their home at Upton on Severn. The particular bomber they fired at, was suffering from engine trouble and crashed nearby.
