This is a photograph of a magazine that was published in Denmark shortly after the liberation of Denmark in June 1945. The magazine has been kept by Mr John Roberts RN retired, as a memento of his time in Denmark at the end of the war. John was a young sailor aboard HMS Diadem, which docked in Copenhagen on 23rd May 1945. The front cover feature is entitled (English translation) Our allied friends. John's memories of Copenhagen can be heard in interviews that were recorded with John, as well as photographs and related material at the John Roberts collection in the West Wales Veterans Archive on the Peoples collection Wales website.
