This is a photograph of a motorcycle being ridden by an RAF Gunner on an airbase in Cyprus in the 1950s. Airman David "Dai" Griffiths owned a similar bike in Cyprus when he was serving on the island with 34 squadron RAF Regiment in the mid to late 1950s. Dai's memoirs of Cyprus and his time in the RAF can be viewed online in the David Griffiths RAF collection on the West Wales Veterans Archive at the Peoples Collection Wales website.
