This is a copy of a photograph in the possession of Nigel Hopkins of Aberystwyth. The image is of Nigel's father David Gareth Owen Hopkins, also of Aberystwyth. David, known as Gareth, served with the British Army during world war two. He was an Clerk performing administrative duties in the campaign against the Imperial Japanese Army in Burma. Nigel served as a Photographer in the RAF from 1975 to 1984. Nigel's memoirs of his service in the RAF, supported my photographs, can be viewed on line in the Nigel Hopkins RAF collection at the West Wales Veterans Archive on the Peoples Collection Wales website.
