This is a copy of an original photograph taken of RN Aircraft Mechanic Ernest Gane. Ernest was a member of the crew of HMS Formidable in World War Two. In this image, taken during a run ashore in Sydney, Ernest can be seen on the left. Ernest took many photographs on his own 35mm camera and kept them in his photograph album. His album is now preserved for the nation at the National Library of Wales.
