Hereford College of Arts student Emily Hedges explains her sculpture at the launch of the sculpture trail in Buckholt Wood. The work was commissioned by Buckholt Bryngaer CIC. The sculpture explores archaeological discovery through 12 white clay tiles shaped like Iron Age axe heads. Marked with soil from the site and fired using the unpredictable Saggar technique, the tiles hang in the woods inviting visitors to handle them and experience the excitement of excavation.
