John Briddon - A narrative account of National Service with Trinity House
Description
This material supports the work of the West Wales Veterans Archive National Service project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. John Briddon was called up for National Service as conscription was nearing its end. The three-armed services were vastly reducing its intake of new entrants. John was sent to Trinity House and subsequently spent about three months serving on ‘Light ships’ in the Bristol channel. The full collection can be viewed online at the West Wales Veterans Archive National Service collection on the People’s Collection Wales website.
