Gill Jones received an MBE in recognition of her Services to the Military. She has been a resident of Senghenydd since birth, leaving for periods of time but always returning. In this Interview Gill talks about growing up in Senghenydd, she discusses education, the community spirit and her involvement in the community. She talks of her experience in the armed forces and of meeting her future husband and getting married. Gill raised her family in Senghenydd and has been a help and tower of strength to the people in the community. Here we discover her feelings on changes in the area over time and how the valley welcomes new people.
