Transcription:
Interviewer Vicki Thomson: What was your favourite tractor to use?
ED: An international 4341, like that, that is my favourite. Hmm,
Well you've got you've got to be born with a good eye. That's the first thing, you have to be able to go straight a lot of people haven't got that gift. You've got to be able to go straight and then where you start off has got be level where you put two furrows each way and then a solid ploughing, no weeds showing and all the furrows the same not big ones and small ones, and a nice shallow finish where you finish off. It always ploughs better when the ground is wet like, that there that's wet and it shines better.
Interviewer Vicki Thomson: And are those the sort of qualities which judges are looking for specifically?
ED: Well, yes, it's difficult there's a lot the lay person wouldn't understand because there's different…you can have high cut ploughing like that and you can have it like that. The old Cornish men used to say that when you walk over high cut ploughing you should cut your feet open. It's so steep, a cone.
