Part of the migration and homing experiments conducted using Manx Shearwaters by Ronald Lockley and G.V.T. Matthews on Skokholm Island. The bird was launched by Mazzeo from land on the periphery of Boston International Airport and was reported arriving back in its burrow on Skokholm Island by G.V.T. Matthews 12 days later.
