Llangwyfan hospital
Description
Digitised postcard image of a group of 'Land Girls' gardening at Llangwyfan Hospital, Llandynog.
The neo-Georgian hospital was built between 1918-1920 as a sanatorium, forming part of the Welsh memorial to Edward VII. It was closed in 1981. The main building is brick and roughcast, with pediment-like gables at either end, and six hipped dormers across its frontage.
