The Dictionary of Welsh Biography has a new article by Mel Williams about Johnny Owen (1956-80), the boxer from Merthyr Tydfil who died after being knocked unconscious in a match for the World Bantamweight Title in Los Angeles against Lupe Pintor from Mexico.
