Abergwynfi and Blaengwynfi Commemorative War Medal awarded to Stanley Vaughan Hanford of the R.F.C. No.27 Squadron. Inscription: 'PRESENTED BY THE INHABITANTS OF ABER & BLAENGWYNFI FOR WAR SERVICE 1914-19'. Stanley Hanford served in France and Germany. He worked in as a collier at Ocean Colliery. This medal was given to each villager upon return from the war.
