Description

Humphrey Jones writes to his parents on 9 December 1855 from London. He thanks his parents for their letter and hopes that they have now settled in their new home. The weather has been very cold in London with snow and ice. He has heard that peace may be declared in the Crimea soon. There was much excitement in London last week due to the vist of the King of Sardinia. He asks his parents about the new tenants at the Royal Oak, Llangollen.
