This Collection was created by Year 9 pupils at St Josephs RC High School, Newport, South Wales, who are studying World War 1 as part of their History syllabus.

On 5 November 2019, the pupils took part in a Remembrance Day event at St Fagans Museum of National History. They took part in activities run by Museum staff, People's Collection Wales, Encyclopaedia Britannica and the Veterans Charity - The VC Gallery.

As part of the event pupils brought along family items from World War 1 and other conflicts. They digitised these items and published them here on People's Collection Wales to add their family stories to the digital history of Wales.
