During the coronavirus "lock-down" in 2020, parishioners from St Peter's Bargoed were able to watch Mass live-streamed from St Helen's, Caerphilly. It was a particular comfort to be able to see St Peter's Paschal candle, burning alongside the candle for St Helen's at Mass. Parishioners kept in touch with each other by using a Whatsapp group, email and phone calls.
