John Parry: Stone mason, Welshman and first conductor of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir
Description
John Parry was a native of Flintshire who converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints ['Mormon' church] in the nineteenth century, and emigrated with his family to Utah Territory. There he founded what would be later known as the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
