A request from the Italian photographic magazine, 'Il Progresso Fotografico', to Douglas Davies for permission to use his images.
The letter reads:
"Dear Sirs,
We have admired the beautiful photographies which were published in 'The Year's Photography' and we would like to let the Italian public know your Art.
We are gratefull to receive (for reproduction purpose) your photo: 'Pryng Eyes', published in the Years Photography 1955.
As soon as the print will be made, you will receive a copy of our magazine where it will be printed.
Awaiting your kind answer, we are Dear Sirs,
Yours truly,
Il Progresso Fotografico"

Davies provided the photograph as requested, which was subsequently published on the magazine's cover in September 1955.
