A letter sent from the M.V. 'Georgic' by Douglas Davies, India, 1946. It reads:

"Darling Bron,

Just a few lines as we shall be arriving at Port Said in Egypt this evening and then there will be a chance to post some mail.

All's well and the voyage has been smooth so fat but it has turned much colder now. Tomorrow we should be entering the Mediterranean [and?] then only about nine more days to go, my darling, before I shall be with you and [Tony?] once more.

And now all my love and kisses dearest [?] both and God [?], until we meet.
