A collection of stories about famous people from the slate regions. The information was gathered from local school children and showcased at the Slate Football Festival. The festival was organized by the LleCHI LleNI project of Gwynedd Council, to celebrate the official opening of the newly renovated football fields of Talysarn Celts Football Club, with the historical connection between the quarrymen of the slate valleys and the game.Twelve primary schools participated, with representation from years 5 and 6 playing in a 5-a-side tournament.
