This photograph has been kept as a memoir by former RAF Firefighter Ernie Hughes. Ernie served at RAF Eastleigh, Kenya during the Kenyan emergency of the 1950s. 1340 Flight operated from a forward base and RAF Eastleigh. Ernie attended many aircraft crashes during his time in Kenya, including this downed Harvard from 1340 flight.
