This photograph was provided by Ernie Hughes, who served as a 'Firefighter' at RAF Eastleigh in Kenya in the mid 1950's. Ernie's mother used to post him a copy of the local paper from back home in Aberystwyth, Wales, UK. Ernie has kept several photographs from his time in Kenya, which offer excellent insight into the life of a RAF serviceman serving overseas in the 1950s.
