This video film was recorded at Steve's home near Aberystwyth, Wales, in July 2025. In this first part of the interview, Steve shares the story of his earlier years and how he then came to join the RAF. He offers viewers a candid account of the highs and lows of basic and trade training. Steve completed over 5 years as an Airframe Technician between 1964 and 1969.
