This set of photographs show Paratroopers from the British Parachute Regiment in the early 1950's. The images show 'Paras' signing for their individual parachutes, lining up to embark on a US troop carrier and jumping from an aircraft. Although the photographs relate to different 'jumps' the series offers a view on the process of parachuting in the 'Para reg'. They belong to Cyril Stuart, who served in 1 Para between 1950 and 1952.
